Rebibis, Jason Carl July 7, 1982 ~ March 25, 2021

Jason "Dats" Rebibis passed unexpectedly but peacefully at home on March 25, 2021 in Vancouver, BC at the age of 38.

Jason is survived by his mother, Carmelita and lola, Eufrecina. He is preceded in death by his father Florentino.

Jason was born on July 7, 1982 in Vancouver, Canada. He graduated from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2006 with a degree in Business. Soon after, Jason went into partnership with his cousin Marvin and his best friend Allan in a print media company; Lance & Co. Over several years of hard work and determination, he grew the business to which point they were able to be acquired. In that time, Jason also partnered with friends to open a restaurant in Manila, Philippines.

Jason was always quick to lend a hand or to check in on the ones he held dear. His warm energy made him very popular as he was kind to all he came across. His friends will remember him as the heart and soul of the crew. His family will cherish him as a loving son, grandson, cousin, uncle and godfather.

Jason was an artistic individual who loved music and photography. He was passionate about travel and had a deep love for the Philippines. His love for the Philippines was matched by his unlimited admiration for his San Francisco 49ers.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday, April 9th at 9:45am and will be live streamed (link to follow). Condolences and flowers can be sent to

In the limited moments I had with Jay, he deepened my love for music, brought my appreciation for hacky sack to a whole other level, and showed me that it pays to stay calm, yet calculated. He had a gift of sharing the beauty in things that are often easily missed. But right now, missing him is what is making everything seem duller than usual. Rest in Peace Brother. I hope you are jamming along with all your favourite music in heaven.

We will always remember the last time we met him at a Drum & Bass show on a weeknight in Gastown. Takes a special person to still go to a show during the week and shows his true love for music. It was such good energy, fun and laughs.
Rest In Peace Dats ~ Love Adam & Tasha
