Jeffrey Tobin Soo Wing "Toby"

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon's beloved husband Jeffrey Tobin Soo Wing (Toby), who passed away peacefully at 11:58pm October 1, 2021, after his courageous battle with lymphoma.

Born in Vancouver, BC, on October 17, 1938, he was predeceased by 2 year old daughter Justine, sisters Bernice Wing and Sheila Barazzuol (Frank). He is survived by his loving wife Sharon (Woodward), together for over 40 years, his sons Courtney Wing and Dean McIntosh (Yvonne), his daughter Lori McIntosh (Cyrus) and grandchildren Clementine, Lucy, Theo, Avaline and Jade, who affectionately called him Yeh Yeh and Goong Goong. Jeffrey loved his family and was an exceptional father and grandfather. Also, he is survived by his brother Winston Wing (Sophie), his sister Virginia Fanara, his brother-in-law Frank Barazzuol and his nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey attended Strathacona, Britannia and went to Law School at the University of British Columbia, where he was a Phi Alpha "Deke". Jeffrey also worked at Trader Vic's in Vancouver, Scottsdale Arizona, and London England before University. Jeffrey was a well-known lawyer in downtown Vancouver for many years and his office was like family.

Jeffrey was witty, humorous and had a great memory. He was also very athletic and played numerous sports in and out of school. He loved playing golf and won a Lexus with a hole in one in Palm Springs. Jeffrey was a member and supporter of many charities and clubs. He was one of the original members of the Vancouver Chinese Golf Club, Desert Island Golf Club, Desert Princess Golf Club and a long-time member of the Vancouver Golf Club. Past clubs were Kelowna Yacht Club and Hollyburn Country Club.

Jeffrey loved Hawaii, Palm Springs, Kelowna, New York, New Orleans, Mexico, Europe and Hong Kong. Always thinking of others, he arranged many outings wherever he went, usually around food and music, which he loved. He was a great all-around friend and will be dearly missed.

A funeral service for Jeffrey will be held Monday, October 18, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC V5J1A4. A reception will occur Monday, October 18, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC V5J1A4. A graveside service will occur Monday, October 18, 2021 from 1:45 PM to 2:30 PM at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC V5J1A4.
