IN THE CARE OF
Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel
ANSELMO, John Joseph
August 16, 1974 - January 14, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce John’s passing - a beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend.
Pre-deceased by his father, Giuseppe; he is survived by his mother Anna; brothers and sisters, Paul (Susy), Frank (Marisa), Mary-Anna (Rupe Sodhi), Elvira; his nephews and nieces, Giuseppe (Adelina), Christina, Michael, Dani, Sierra, Devan, Chloe; extended family and many friends.
John faced many health challenges in his short life, but was content with leading a quiet one.
He was happiest the most when doing the simplest of things, such as: spending time with his nephews and nieces; watching his favourite sports teams on TV – especially the Montreal Canadians (The Habs); repairing and building things; puttering in the garden; fishing; and above all, sharing stories over cups of coffee, or playing cards or dice, with his buddies in the backyard. We will remember John for his unique sense of humour and passionate discussions.
We have many loving memories. Cherish these memories and keep John in your hearts by remembering the good times.
Our heartfelt thanks you to the ICU staff at Burnaby General Hospital for taking care of John during his final days.
Viewing will take place on Sunday, January 23rd from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 East Hastings Street, Burnaby, BC.

525 Slocan Street, Vancouver, BC. Due to Covid restrictions, seating will be limited.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Heart and Stroke, or BC Diabetes Foundation.
