John Alexander Hollingsworth

John Alexander Hollingsworth died on October 22, 2004 at the abe of 84. He is survived by his loving wife Joyce (35 years), sons Gary, Bryan, Grant and daughters Arde and Marilyn. Grandchildren Hollyn(17, Sean(13), Jennifer(13) and Sheri(11). John was predeceased by Herbert and Amilia (parents) and wife Isabelle(1963).

John was born in Vancouver. He travelled the entire world, servied in the RCAF (WWII), founded Commercial Body Builders Ltd. and Holly Enterprieses Ltd. He loved to work with his hands and could be found in a workshop day or night. His love for horses grew into raising Standardbreds at his farms and driving in harness races on the cirduit in British Columbia, Alberta and California. John was an avid golfer and enjoyed a long time membership at the Marine Drive Golf Club. He and his wife Joyce spent many winters as snowbirds in Palm Desert, California where John was also a member of the Santa Rosa gold Club. John's exuberant energy caused him to live a full life and he will be greatly missed by his family, friends and colleagues.

Funeral service was held October 28th. in the Chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Burnaby.
