This remarkable man died, in a manner he chose, surrounded by his loving family. In 1939, at the age of 17, Dad immigrated from what is now known as Belarus, without anything but a dream of what might be. He met Mom in 1944, marred her in 1945 and then spent 67 wonderful years together.
He is survived by 4 appreciative, loving children, John (Joy), Linda Nielsen, Bob (Judy) and Janis Sherrell, along with 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Dad loved a good game of Crib and those fortunate enough to be his opponent will never forget the experience.
Dad was a wise risk-taker and did well with his choices. He was able to retire at 56 and with Mom, saw the world on Princess cruises. They also enjoyed wintering in Hawaii and later, Mesa, Arizona.
As dad would insist, do the job right and then “let’s have a party!”
