Not a day goes by that we don't think of Jonathen. He had a presence like no one else and made everyone around him feel taken care of and loved. We'll never forget the cherished memories of the family gatherings we had together full of laughter and fun. You've touched so many lives and we are all better people for knowing you. Our hearts are with John, Janet, Joseph, and Jacob during this diffucult time.
You were taken too early and we miss you so much.

There was never a day that seeing Jonathen didn't immediately warm my heart and put a smile on my face. He always made me feel protected and I was so proud to call him a best friend. I truly loved him. Even though we lost touch sometimes, when we saw each other again, it was like no time had passed. I Will cherish our memories forever. I'll never forget when my dirt bike was stolen and he ran all around the neighbourhood trying to find it - that is the common story from everyone, he was always there to help a friend, or even a friend of a friend. I'll never forget running around in the rain together as kids or walking down the aisle with him at Sarah and Chris wedding. 
I will never forget him, nobody will. He is a legend. 
Jonathen meant so much to us all and we carry his heart,  we carry it in our hearts.

After reading all the lovely heartfelt messages, what else can be said.  He was such an awesome friend to everyone who knew him.  He always felt like part of our family since. He always called me Ma and I liked that. The entire Patko should be so very proud of the son they raised.  Heaven has gained an Angel, and we have all lost an incredible friend. Patko family, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Lonnie and I thought Jonathen was an exception young man, and great friend to both our daughter Ashton, and son-in-law, Zach. He was a very special part of their lives, therefore a part of ours. I remember going to watch our little brothers play football in the provincials at BC place. You were so proud of your brothers and your family. You said to me look at the kid he's a beast!! You were a beast! My heart goes out to all your family, your mom your dad Joseph and Jacob! We are all just borrowed energy on this earth that eventually has to be put back! It's just such a shame it has to be put back so early! But remember energy never goes away it just changes forms! I'm sure he ll be with all of your throughout your journey!

Jonathen came to my stag at Harrison lake for three days about five years ago and he really did make it something to remember, such a quick and witty sense of humour but the best story is when we were on the inertube and it was me and him being whipped back and forth across the lake and it turns out he hates feet or maybe just mine (lol)  so my feet kept bouncing over onto his and he's losing his mind and the more I tried to keep mine over on my side the more they ended up on his..all we could hear is a boat load of groomsman laughing hysterically, I'm deeply saddened by his passing but I hope this story can bring a smile to your faces just like it did ours.

Jonathen we miss you so much it hurts. You were such an amazing friend to both Chris and I. Chris is absolutely crushed over this. We love you! Always have and always will.

Our hearts and our lives will never be the same without Jonathen. He was not just a friend to us, he was family. He was a big brother to all of his friends, and he stuck by you through anything. Seeing the pain that your family has had to endure since losing Jonathen is heartbreaking, and we wish that we could take it all away. You raised a beautiful, courageous, loving man. Jeff Asher paisley and I will miss johnaten so very much. He was such a big part of our lives and it breaks our hearts knowing he is not with us anymore. We love you and are here for you. Patty was one of a kind the biggest teddy bear the first one to have anyone's back and he was loved by so many and still is. The world lost a great one. And I'm deeply sadden.

I can't understand this....this is such a sad time. My heart breaks for Janet, John and the family. I was there when jonathen was a baby and watched him grow into a young man. He holds such a special place in my heart, always has and always will.
