Kam passed away peacefully on June 12 surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her mother Harbhajan, two daughters Jasmine (Luke), Kiran, beloved grandchildren Jacob and Hannah, and siblings Kuljit and Simon.
Kam loved being a mother and a Nanni. She devoted her life to her daughters, nurturing them when they were little and supporting them into their adult lives. She taught her girls to be strong, independent and follow their own paths.
She was over the moon to become a Nanni. She treated her grandchildren like sacred gifts. She enjoyed playing games, teaching them new things and just being in their presence.
Kam lived with ovarian cancer for over two years. Her journey was not an easy one, but she walked through it with patience and acceptance. She focused on enjoying everyday joys and memorable moments with her family.
We would like to thank Dr. Anna Tinker and her team at the BC Cancer Agency for providing hope and guiding us through treatments with expertise. We would also like to thank the Evergreen Palliative Care team for their support in helping honour her wish to stay home as long as she could. Finally, the family would like to thank the Drs, nurses and staff at St. John's Hospice where mummy spent her final days, their care and compassion will not be forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on June 18th, 11:00am at Bell & Burnaby.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to a charity of your choosing, in her honour.
