

Kathleen (Kay) Cumming Nov. 19, 1926 to July 15, 2017. it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kay. Kay was born in South Shields England and moved to Canada at a young age. She married her husband of 70 years, Bill in 1946. They moved to Burnaby in 1949 where they raised their family. She was a TD retiree who worked both as a teller and in the Data Processing Center. She was a passionate volunteer in the community all of her life, most notably at South Burnaby United Church where she was involved in many of the groups and organizations that were part of the church. She was also a volunteer at St. Michael's center in Burnaby and ironically that is where she passed. She was also very giving of her time with any of her friends or relatives whenever they needed assistance or a sympathetic ear. Her passion was the many flower arrangements she would put together and the many family dinners she would host. She enjoyed travelling, most notably to the UK as well as Alberta. She was an avid and extremely knowledgeable Canucks and Lions fan and the radio or TV would be on whenever there was a game. She was predeceased by her parents, Rob and Betty Collins, and her sisters Cecilia Godby (Bill) and Victoria Addison (Bob). She is survived by her husband Bill, sons Paul (Lesley) and David, granddaughters Siobhan (Craig), Candice, and Roisin, and many nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at Jubilee United Church 7591 Gray Avenue at Rumble in Burnaby on Saturday August 19th at 1pm the Rev. Graham K. Brownmiller officiating.
