Mom, it’s been 10yrs since you left us for Heaven.  I miss you. My kids and entire family miss you. There’s many conversations where you come up and we all remember you as a kind, gentle, caring, loving, fair, positive , cheery, person. I guess that’s why you’re needed in Heaven, because wither we don’t deserve to have such a nice person beside us, or you’re needed somewhere else to really help balance out with bringing more good to another realm. I remember your last conversation with me like it was yesterday. I remember you still being able to joke and share a few laughs with me. It’s been a decade since we last spoke. Your recent dream for me, came timely. I really miss you mom. Love you.

I was going through my old letters and cards when I came across one from Kitty when I worked in Vancouver at Kei Choung Jewellery on West Hastings St.  Your mum hired me.  When I asked why she hired me, she said “because I had an honest face”. 😊 I was the first non Asian hired in a place that had very open valuable products but I didn’t think at the time how much that was of value to them.  I was only 19.  I loved working for her and Arthur and Charles, I think?  She used to send me with notes into China town to pick up lunch written in Cantonese and everyone would giggle at me because they knew I had no clue what I was ordering.  Lol.  Your mum was a kind, wonderful person with a lovely sense of humour.   The note I have from her is a thank you for a baby gift when her 3rd child, Angel, was born 1987.  By then I was already in Winnipeg.  She gave me great advice and I followed it.  I travelled and enjoyed my life’s adventures.  I am in NS now.   If you would like a copy of your mums note let me know and I can send it to you.  Sadly, it has taken a world slow down (Pandemic) for me to find these treasures to remind me of the people that shaped my life.  Saying thank you to each of the people who had made an impact on my life was my bucket list item when I turned 50 a few years ago.  Hope this note finds your family well.
