It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Kwi Onn Chong – husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend to so many. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct 17, 2021 at the age of 91.
Kwi was born on Dec 31, 1929 in North Borneo. He immigrated to Canada with his wife and resided in Coquitlam since 1993. His hobbies were hunting, gardening and he loved to keep himself busy with any hands-on related projects.
Kwi is survived by his wife, Foong Kuen Chen, four children, 10 grand -children and 7 great grand-children.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Foyer Millard Care Home for the care provided during Kwi’s stay since 2019. They would also like to extend their sincere appreciation to staff at Forest Lawn Funeral Home for the funeral arrangement.
Funeral services for Kwi will be held on Tuesday, Nov 2, 2021 at 1:30pm.
