Leonora Giovinazzo

March 9 1942 - September 16 2020

Entered into rest September 16, 2020. Leonora was the loving wife of Tony and mom to Michael (Sonya) and Rita, sister to Leo Pagnossin (Iola) and David (pre-deceased), sister-in-law to Rocky and Sylvia Giovinazzo, Joe and Jackie Giovinazzo, Stella and Carlo Girardello, Teresa and Vito Lalungo, Auntie to Teresa, Sandra, Vicky, Sherri, Cindy, Joe, Carla, Corrina, Ricky, Scott and Ryan.

Leonora was born in Vancouver and in her late teens, met the man who would become her husband, soul mate and sole caregiver. Tony and Leonora would define a love story of a special kind. Leonora endured most of her life burdened with MS and the gradual loss of her mobility. While her body became a prison, she never lost her incredible will and strength.

Her memory and attention to details, birthdays, names, special dates, was unsurpassed. The love and care from Tony’s determination to manage the challenges of her daily life is beyond what words can describe. This devoted care from Tony allowed us to have more time with Leonora, for which we are grateful. Our loss is immeasurable. She has gone to rest. Her memory lives with us forever.

There will be a private funeral, by invitation only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
