Words just cannot express my sadness for the passing of my dear friend. Luchi was my classmate/friend in college. Five years ago, she invited me for a get together with some of our former classmates at her house 🏠 in Canada. I never thought that was our last meeting. I will always cherish the beautiful memories of her. She'll be greatly missed 😢 but her warmth kindness and gentle spirit will be remembered forever 💖. Farewell to you my friend. 'Til we meet again. Thank you 💕 for the friendship ❤...To Manang Chuchi and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you 🙏. May God bless and give you comfort and peace during this difficult time.

You will be missed so very much Tita Luchi! Whenever you came to visit us in NJ, we were always excited to see you and it was always the best of times! Your generosity and kindness was one of a kind. You inspire me to live life to the fullest and make every moment worthwhile. The last time I saw you we talked about plans for Neil and I to visit Vancouver. How I wish I could of visited sooner, but I will make sure it will be crossed out of my bucket list of places to visit very soon!

I love you so very much! While your beautiful presence is no longer here, you have become a beautiful angel in heaven that I will be praying to. I am so blessed that you were part of my family’s life and I. Your memory will live on forever.

Thank you for showing how life should be lived no matter the storms. You certainly knew how to make a rainbow after every rain storm.

Sending all my love to Tita Chuchi, Tito Boy, and Hilary during this very difficult time.

Love,
Anna May

I first met Luchie at a Christmas party sponsored by the then Carlton Private Hospital and Lodge. Luchie was bubbly and down-to-earth. Fast forward years later Luchie offered me a job, she became my 'boss' and a special bond started.

Luchie had a huge role in setting up a lot of my relatives 'get started' in the world of health care... for their job experience ... for that I am extremely grateful.

I will never forget Luchie's 'expertise' to encourage, support, and care for the people around her, especially her family and friends. A social worker indeed!

The last time I saw Luchie was during a dear friend's memorial service. We knew we all will tread along this path...and so we said our goodbyes.

My heartfelt sympathies to Chuchie and the rest of the family.
May God's comfort and peace sustain you in this time of grief.

Blessings...

Biography

Anyone that knew Luchi knew she was a force of nature. She held herself to a high standard and expected the same of others. Yet at the same time, she was capable of incredible generosity and empathy. If there was something she could do to help you, she would. Luchi didn’t do things half-way - just the right way.

She applied the same attitude she had in life to her 8 year battle with cancer. Anything and everything she had to do - to fight this battle - she did. She was optimistic but also realistic. And she was BRAVE. She faced every struggle through the course of her life head-on.

We will all miss her terribly. Personally I will miss our many travel adventures, indulging our shared Canucks fanaticism (and often heartbreak), and just knowing she’s there as someone I can always count on when I need them. I will miss everything about her.

Luchi lived 57 years and made every one count. Let’s all strive to do the same.
