Born in China in 1936, Lucy was the eldest of three children. Joong Sung, predeceased in China in 2023, Joong Yuk, surviving youngest brother in China. Lucy met her husband James, predeceased in 2008, in Trinidad, where they raised four children. Their fifth child was born in Canada. Lucy is survived by four of her five children; Barbara, predeceased in 2006, (Silas), sons Derek (Jade), and Mackenzie; Shirley (Claudio), children, Jeff and Alyssa; Winston; Reg, (Wei To) daughter Linda; and Nikki. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her family, extended family in China, Macau, Australia and the United States, plus the many friends she made in and around her neighbourhood.

A private service was held for family in mid-February at Ocean View Funeral Home Chapel.
