Luigi Cacchione

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 19, 2015 at the age of 87. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Vincenza; children Maria Teresa, John, Anna (Roger); grandchildren, Anthony (Gerly), Sabrina, Lisa, Leah, Trevor, Stephanie, Trisha, Tyler and great-grandchildren Ezra and Jacob. Luigi was extremely proud of his Italian heritage and it showed through his large vegetable garden and homemade vino, but most importantly he dedicated his life and over- abundant love to his family and friends. Anyone who met him immediately fell in love with him and quickly learned how fun-loving and big-hearted he was. Prayers will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 244 Lawrence St. in Queensborough, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial St., Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lung Association of BC would be appreciated. We are forever grateful to the staff of the Royal Columbian Hospital ICU, HACU, Emergency, and 6th Floor North for their compassionate care.
