It is with heavy hearts and deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Luisa Calla on December 20, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Luisa was born in Mammola, Reggio Calabria, Italy. She was predeceased by her parents Francesco and Annunziata, and her beloved husband Vincenzo. She is survived by her loving children Maria (Ron), Nancy (Tom), and Frank; cherished grandchildren: Danielle (C.J.), Chelsea, Brandon, Breanne, and Robert (Sara); sister Maria, and many friends. She was a gentle and caring soul who touched the lives of many and left a lasting impression. Prayers will be offered 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 525 S. Slocan. St., Vancouver, BC where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017. Entombment will follow at the Abbey Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, BC.
