It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lynne Effie Lee in Vancouver, B.C. on Saturday, April 23, 2011 aged 96 years. Lynne was born in Saanich B.C. on July 17, 1914 to Hoy and Effie Wong and her childhood was spent in Strasbourg, Saskatchewan. Lynne was an active member of the Calgary Chinese United Church, an avid Curling Skipper in Digby, N.S. and enjoyed Ballroom dancing. She is predeceased by her husbands Edgar T. Chan, Joseph Lee, her son Ronald Edgar Chan and her late siblings Emma, Mary and Ernie. She is loving mother to her two daughters, Cheryl Lye (Stan) and S.Mei-ling Chow (Quon) and stepchildren Corinne, Spencer and Nancy Lee. She is survived by siblings Andy (Eva), Pat (Alex), Albert (Darlene), Joyce, Ben (Jock) and Allan (Deanna). She is loving grandmother to Andrew Lye, Jennifer Chow Papandrea (John Jr.), Brian Chow, and Alexander Lee. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces. Visitation will be at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Burnaby, on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 5 pm to 7 pm. Chapel services will be on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 8:30 am with interment at 10 am.
