With her family by her side, Maria Zonta passed away peacefully at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by brother Giuseppe Zen in Italy. Maria was born in Cassola, Vicenza, Italy, immigrating to Canada in 1963. She is survived by her loving family; husband Alfonso; daughters Lores and Elizabeth; sister Rosa (Paolo) in Burnaby and 4 sisters in Italy; brother Antonio in Australia; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 525 S. Slocan St. Vancouver, BC. Entombment to follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, BC. In lieu of flowers donations to the BC Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
