Marie Anne Tomko, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2011 after a lengthy battle with leukemia. Lovingly survived by her husband John Roberts , brother Alan Taylor and wife Brenda, nieces Charlene Taylor and Cindy Erwin, sister-in-law Ethel Tomko, nephews Dan Tomko (wife Lynn) and Wayne Tomko (wife Kathy), grandnephew Ryan Erwin and grandniece Erica Erwin, great grandnephew Colton, all of Vancouver. Also survived by step son Denis Roberts (wife Tara) of Halifax and step grandchildren Maggie and Nate, stepdaughter Taylore Roberts (husband Kepler), of Vancouver. The entire Roberts family from Badger Nfld. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday May 28, 2011 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Burnaby, BC. Reception and Inurnment to follow. In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made in Marie’s name to the BC Cancer Foundation. Special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at VGH as well as the staff and Doctors at the cell separator unit. Thanks to Marion Hospice for their care and empathy.
