Marijo passed away peacefully at home in Coquitlam on September 10, 2023. Born in Crikvenica, he emigrated to Canada in 1938. Marijo was a well-respected commercial fisherman for decades, captaining many vessels. His retirement passions were traveling and golf.
Marijo is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Margaret, son Mario (Tracy), daughters Marian (Rob) and Lorraine (Ian), and predeceased by his first born child, Nancy. Nono will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Thomas (Ashley), Nicole (Paul), Ian (Rose), Mitchell (Andrea), Miranda and Nathan, and by his great-grandchildren Langley, Odessa and Ian. He is survived by his sisters Mirjana and Ann.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at All Saints Parish, 821 Fairfax Street, Coquitlam. Memorials may be made to B.C. Children's Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Ocean View Funeral Home.
