I volunteered in the wards at RCH in the mid-80s.  I was a shy sixteen year old when Marilyn asked me to assist her in her office by answering the phone, etc.  Witnessing Marilyn in action taught me so much about customer service and office etiquette.  She was filled with grace and kindness and brought out the confidence in myself that I needed.  My success in the office world, specifically in customer communication, is due to her.  And I came upon her obituary while searching for her on the internet to thank her for that.  I'm saddened to learn of her death but I'm also smiling, grateful to have known this beautiful woman.
