I learnt today that our dear Marisa has passed away. My sincere condolences to her daughter, Jenine and extended family. Marisa will never be forgotten. Jenine was an amazing caregiver to her Mom. Not unlike her mom she is a woman of action and was Always thinking of how her mom would like to be care for and was an amazing advocate for her throughout the time during the illness Marisa had to rely on others'. Marisa was fiercely independent however lovingly accepted the help from others when she needed it. She ALWAYS had the HUGE beautiful smile that lite up a room. She was always so positive and loving and adored her Daughter Jenine. I think she was happiest being a Mom. I have many fond memories of Marisa and share a wonderful memory of playing California Kick ball at the Retreat - Her strong will and determination to run the bases and ensure the team she was on was a Winner! all in fun with lots and lots of belly laughs until we were all crying. I am so grateful for having these special memories with a woman so remarkable.
