Born October 12, 1919 Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother on March 31, 2011. Mary passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was pre deceased by her husband John. Survived by her children Gary, Valerie (Alan), Ron (Frances), Melanie and Cindy (Jim); grandchildren Buddy (Rae-Ann), Todd (Tanya), Tara (Phil), Tricia (Mike), Jeffrey (Jennifer), Sean (Erin), Pete (Terri) and Jordan (Sarah); great grandchildren Tyler, Jaiden, Cole, Chloe, Ciaran, Luc, Eden, Teagan and Shannon. Mary devoted her whole life to raising her children and always gave unconditionally to her family. Her unselfish nature and sense of humour endeared her to others and will always be remembered. Our family would like to sincerely thank her home caregivers and VGH staff. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at 2:00pm Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Forest Lawn 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby.
