Mrs. Maureen Lilian Neufeld

October 22, 1931December 12, 2020

Maureen was born in Winnipeg and grew up on a farm near Portage la Prairie and in Winnipeg. She was very athletic and played baseball and was a member of the Winnipeg Canoe Club.

In 1955 she married Ritchard Neufeld, also of Winnipeg, and they had 50 happy years together, travelling North America and enjoying their summer cottage in Ponemah Beach, Manitoba.

Maureen and Ritchard retired to Nanaimo in 1993 and enjoyed gardening, sea side walks and their many friends.

When Ritchard predeceased her, Maureen moved to Burnaby where she had a great time at the Cameron Senior Center, making many friends and enjoying dancing, sing along, and especially coffee talk and the garden group.

Maureen leaves behind to cherish the memories: her sister Dorothy Martini of Winnipeg, her son David Neufeld (Emma) of Burnaby, her grandson Peter Neufeld (Betty) of Burnaby, nephews Ken Martini (Shelly) and Bruce Martini of Beausejour, MB, nieces Eileen Janowski of Clandeboye, MB, Susan Bittner of Edmonton, Beth Couture (Richard) of Langley, Karen Glover of Fort Langley and many, many friends.

Arrangements under the direct supervision of Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Mum is on an unimaginably beautiful Golf Course, playing with my Dad and Uncle Steve. Blackie and Butch are swimming in the water hazards.
