Mauro Gentile

Mauro Gentile passed away peacefully on January 14, 2015 at the age of 96 years. He is predeceased by his wife Maria, brothers and sister, Vincenzo, Luigi, Domenico and Maria. He is survived by his loving family, children Frank (Lella), daughter, Anna, Ciro (Fernanda), granddaughters Daniella (Luke), Sonia (Robert), grandson Adriano, and many nephews and friends. Mauro was dedicated to his family and had a relentless work ethic. He was a kind, loving and caring man who always had a welcome smile for everyone he met. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grand- children. He will be especially missed by all. Special thanks to The Little Mountain Care facility and staff for their care and patience. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Monday, January 19th at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 525 S. Slocan St., Vancouver. Entombment to follow at South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby BC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to British Columbia Lung Association, 2675 Oak Street, Vancouver, British Columbia V6H 2K2 or to your local food bank.
