Mr. Michael John Lauer

January 15, 1929 – January 31, 2011

Michael was born in England and passed away in Burnaby, B.C. at the age of 82.

Predeceased by sister Pamela Jennings, brother Brian Lauer and nephew Mark Jennings, all of England.

Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Beverly, daughters Cathryn (Richard) Lawrence, Carolyn (Gerald) Brynelson, grandchildren Ryan Brynelson and Jessica Brynelson

Also survived by relatives in England, twin sister Patricia Lunau and family, and sister-in-law Heather Lauer and family, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

After travelling extensively throughout the world as a member of the British Merchant Service, Michael came to Canada in 1953 and settled in New Westminster.

Michael was a member of Post 83 Legion in Burnaby, as well as the Hyack Festival in New Westminster.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 1010 – Fifth Avenue, New Westminster, B.C.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Michael’s Hospice in Burnaby for their care and compassion during dad’s stay.
