Mitsuko “Mitsi” Oyama passed away peacefully on February 20, 2018 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Masamitsu “Mas” Oyama, and sisters Hideko Oyama, Setsuko Kitagawa, Tsuruko Paziuk. Survived by daughters Elaine and Gayle, brother Ray Torao Iwasaki, brother-in-law Vic Paziuk and many nieces and nephews.
Mitsi’s family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Royal City Manor, New Westminster for the happiness and care provided to Mitsi. Their support and kindness will never be forgotten. Her family would also like to thank staff at Royal Columbian Hospital for their excellent care
A reception to celebrate Mitsi will be held at Nikkei Centre (6688 Southoaks Crescent, Burnaby, BC) on April 17th between 1:00 and 3:00 pm.
The family respectfully declines kouden and flowers and should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation or charity of their choice.
