Mladjen Knezevic

It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved KNEZEVIC, Mladjen (Mladjo) on Feb 29th 2020 at Royal Columbian Hospital, after a brief battle with illness. Born Nov 11th 1943 in Donje Vodicevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (formerly Yugoslavia) He is survived by his two sons Nenad (Sandra) and Davor (Dragana), grandchildren Christopher (Julia) and Mathew, great grandson Beckam , brothers Bosko, Milan (Vesna), sisters Ljubica (Vojin) Dragica (Peter) and Mira (Marko), and many loving nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his wife Andjela, Father Stevo, Mother Mara and youngest brother Drago. Mladjo immigrated to Canada from the former Yugoslavia in 1970, following his sister Ljubica to a better life. Mladjo was a shipwright with the Marine workers and Boilmakers Industrial Union until his retirement. A hard working man, a gentle giant with a kind soul who loved to laugh. He will be greatly missed. Service will be held this Friday March 6th 2020 @ 11:30 AM at Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel 4276 Hastings St Burnaby BC, followed by Burial at 1pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
