March 1, 1941- January 19, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Myrna Seto, a beloved wife, mother, and friend. Myrna was born March 1st, 1941, the daughter of Henry and Velma Schmidt. She is survived by her loving husband Ken, son Ryan, daughter in law Tamara, brother Stan, and sister in law Doreen.
Myrna was an extremely selfless person, always looking after others first. She was ready with smiles, hugs, and kind words for her family and friends. Myrna was a dedicated, loyal and loving wife to her husband Ken, and a nurturing, supportive, and empathetic mother to her son Ryan.
A wonderfully kind and caring person, she was also blessed with an abundance of natural beauty, grace, and charm. Myrna enjoyed numerous passions, including golf, long walks, music, theatre and nice meals out. Travel brought her much happiness. Family trips for a variety of hockey and baseball games was the norm in earlier years. She also loved her time spent on holidays with her husband Ken, visiting family, golfing and exploring. The golf clubs were always at hand for a quick game during road trips, whether it be in BC, Washington, down the Oregon coast or further afield.
The family would like to thank the care aides, nurses and recreation staff at St. Michael’s Centre, for the time they spent caring for Myrna and making her stay a comfortable one.
Myrna will be terribly missed by all the family and friends that she touched and loved. Details regarding a celebration of life are forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
A celebration of life will be hosted on Saturday, March 23, 2019, beginning at 1pm (doors open at 12:30) at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, 6450 Deer Lake Avenue, Suite 103, Burnaby, BC.
