

With heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Nicola Iacovetta on December 1, 2016 at home in Vancouver. Born in Pescolanciano, P. Isernia, Italy on October 5, 1932, Nicola was predeceased by his father Italo, mother Lidia, sister Giovanna, and brothers-in-law Damiano and Antonio. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Filomena; daughters, Lidia (Antonio) and Ita (Werner); granddaughters Connie (Mario), Nica (Michael), Veronica, and Juliana; great-grandchildren Erica, Lorenzo, Giada, and Elisa; sisters-in-law Annunziata and Concettina; brother-in-law Ernesto; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Canada and Italy. Nicola was happiest when he was surrounded by his pride and joy - his family. He was successful in life and his advice and guidance were invaluable.
