It has now been over 2 years since you left me, Mom.  So much has happened.  I am all alone now.  I hope that wherever you are that you are happy and free from all your pain.  I know that you are with Poppie, Bev and Mark; Quincy and Daphne too.  I miss you so much and, most days, I just want my 'Mommy'.  I love you, my Momsiepoo!  

P.S  You will be happy to know that I am back to being a Planidin.  I owed that to you and Poppie and me, too.

Dear Marianne, Bill and I both want to express our deepest sympathy to you on the loss of your Mother. Aunt Olivia always held a special place in our heart from our Edmonton years. Your Fort Saskatchewan home was a home away from home for us both! Many meals, visits and family events were enjoyed there. Our BC trips to see your parents on the Island, then Vancouver (especially the days at Expo with our kids, your Mom, Uncle Bill 
and my Mom Marie are treasured in pictures. I was so touched by her visits to see Mom in Melfort and was so glad to see her again this past year in Saskatchewan. Rest in peace Aunt Olivia, we always enjoyed your views  and insights as an educator and lifelong learner. We also enjoyed her teaching us to can salmon on a trip to Comox. The 8 dozen jars lasted us a couple of years and our kids still speak of the experience and the tasty lunches it produced. Please send me your address and phone number Marianne. I have a wonderful picture Marianne of your mom, Laurie and I in the middle of the Atlantic in her friend Jack's fishing boat (a small canoe it seemed) from many years ago when we visited your parents in Comox.  We were hoping to catch a salmon fish for supper.  Instead your mom took one out of the freezer that evening to feed us. Thinking of you this Christmas with both your parents and sister in a better place and with our Dad too on this Christmas Eve day his 81st birthday.

Your mom was an exceptional lady Marnie, she genuinely cared and she never judged. She will always be alive through all of us for all the love she gave.

Dear Marianne, I am truly so sorry & saddened with the passing of your mom. When Auntie came out to Saskatchewan she always had a story to tell. I'm so happy I spent time with her over the last few years. She is in a place where there are no tears or pain but peace and joy with the Lord of glory. Absolutely nothing can ease the pain of losing a parent; please know that  are in my heart always and forever Marianne.  Although heaven has welcomed another angel we will still miss you Aunty Olivia.

Marnie I want to thank you for all of the stories you shared about your mom while we were at work.  You spoke of her with such compassion and though I never met her, I felt I came to know much about her life and the place she still holds in your heart.  Your commitment to her care over the last few years was inspiring and I know your love for her reaches her even now.  Take care of yourself and know that you and your mom are loved beyond measure.

Deepest condolences Marianne, wishing I could be there today, will keep you posted over the holidays. I'm so glad Laurie and I were there a couple weeks ago to see you. May your memories of your mom give you comfort and especially knowing that she has is now with Uncle Bill and Bev.

So sorry for your loss Marnie. It is hard to find comfort during these times but know that your work family loves and misses you and we are all thinking of you during this time.

My sincere condolences to you.  Your mom was such a sweet lady, always kind to me through those awkward teenage years.  I was blessed to have her as my very first teacher.  When I think of her I will always remember being at your home in Fort Saskatchewan, listening to Three Dog Night, and waiting to sample those fantastic donuts she was making as they would be coming out of the oven.  Again, my condolences.

Such a life she led - from the farm in central Saskatchewan to the Pacifac coast she worked so hard and still kept her sense of humour. This feisty little woman with a young family and handicpped husband worked her way through university and created a wonderful life for all of them. Rest in Peace Aunt Olivia - you lived well.

I miss you so much Mom!  I wonder what I will do without you... you were my role model, my best friend. You used to cry saying that you were a burden on me but you never were - you were my mother and I loved you with all my heart and then some. I am thankful that you are no longer in pain but how do I go on without you?
