Paola passed away peacefully November 4 2019 at the age of 84 years. She was born in Siculiana, Sicily to Giuseppe and Giuseppina Ciulla. She was predeceased by her parents. Survived by her loving family, husband Francesco of 63 years, sons, John (Lucia) and Joe, daughter Felicia (Paul), 8 grandchildren, Paula, Franco (Tausha), Cris (Melinda), Chanel (Devon), Bianca (Justin), Nicholas, Justine (Andrew) and Chloe and 8 great-grandchildren Austin, Lucas, Tia, Jacob, Brooklyn, Mason, Danica and Kristian. She is also survived by her 2 brothers Rosario (Anna) and Angelo (Franca) and many nieces and nephews. Paola immigrated to Wales, UK and then Canada arriving in Vancouver in 1959. She settled in East Vancouver (Strathcona area) and later North Burnaby. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Burnaby General Hospital for all their care. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 8th at 10:30 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1450 Delta Ave., Burnaby, B.C. Celebrant Rev. Paul Szczur, SDS. Entombment Ocean View Burial Park, Abbey Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
