It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Pasquale our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Pasquale was born in Lucito, Campobasso, Italy on April 14, 1922. He was predeceased by his wife Grazia, sisters Elena and Carmela and sons-in-law Giovanni and Salvatore. He is survived by daughters Maria and Pina, grandchildren Dino (Erminia), Nancy (Glenn), Carlo (Chiara) and Maria (Danny), and great-grandchildren Michael (Mirielle), Nisia, Amelia, Luca, Emma and Sofia. Pasquale was a devoted husband and friend to his wife, exemplified by the unequivocal love, teamwork, companionship and laughter they shared for more than 76 years. Pasquale dedicated many decades of his life to volunteering in leadership positions at Our Lady of Sorrows parish and Italian associations. He spoke with conviction and seemed to have a saying for every life situation. At times he seemed invincible having lived through the Great Depression, fighting in World War II, and overcoming cancer. He will be remembered by all his family and friends for his kindness and generosity and ability to make everyone around him laugh. Our lives, family gatherings, and bocce matches will never be the same, but we take some consolation in that Pasquale lived a full life and that we were blessed to have shared so many years and joyous occasions with him.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Bell Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings St, Burnaby, BC. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 8 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 555 Slocan Street, Vancouver BC.
