Petar Madunic

Our beloved husband and father passed away peacefully at Vancouver General Hospital with his family by his side. Petar was born in Cista Provo, Croatia and immigrated to Canada in 1957. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Mila and his three daughters Josie, Sandy and Brenda. He was predeceased by his parents, five brothers and two sisters. He also leaves behind his sister-in laws, numerous nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends in Croatia, Canada and USA.

His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He loved his garden, making wine, smoking meat and having happy hours on Sundays.

A special thank you to Dr. Howard Lim whose kindness over the last few weeks will never be forgotten. We are grateful to the staff at the VGH Palliative Care Unit for the care they provided our father.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday December 29, 2022 at 10:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Catholic Church, 3105 East 1st. Ave. Vancouver.

In lieu of flowers, donation to BC Cancer Foundation would be graciously welcomed.
