Peter was born at home on the farm in Aberdeen, Saskatchewan on January 16, 1929. He was known as the miracle baby as he was born with an illness; it was thought he would not survive. Peter was a fighter and he did survive not only as a baby but other times during his life when he fell ill and rallied. Peter was born to parents Peter and Margaret Neufeld, he was the second child of 12 siblings. In 1948 the family moved to a farm on the Sumas Prairie in the Fraser Valley where he worked on the farm. Wanting a change Peter moved to Vancouver and began his career with Canada Post where he worked for 37 years. Peter relocated to White Rock to enjoy his retirement years. In 2009 health issues hospitalized him for several months. He then moved into Brookside Lodge in Surrey. The last few months of Peter’s life he longed for Heaven to meet his Saviour. He peacefully passed away at Brookside Lodge on Wednesday, June 15, 2016.
