Po was born in Hong Kong on September 30, 1949 to parents Wong Kam Yiu and Cheung Hau Wan.
Overcoming limited means as a child, he successfully graduated from university in Hong Kong, which was not easy to do in those days.
He immigrated to Canada with his family in 1979 and obtained his Certified General Accountant designation in 1982. He went on to have a successful international career in finance, living and working in Canada, China and the U.S.A. He loved to travel even as a young man and it was a lifelong passion that he passed on to his children. He was a loving husband and father who worked hard to support his family.
He was very kind and generous to his wife and children and a filial eldest son and brother. He is survived by his devoted wife Tak Shing Wong, daughters Julia Wong and Amber (Darryl) O’Young, grandchildren Quilla, Dylan, Emerson and Callum and siblings Po Cheong Wong and Joanna Wong.
