Renato Finamore

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Renato Finamore on September 25, 2018 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Maria Finamore in July 2016. He is survived by his only son Domenico, (Janet), and his precious grandson Antonio. Renato also leaves behind his older brother Annibale (Ivanna) and sister Genesia, (Maurizio), along with their respective families. Also grieving Renato's loss is his mother in law, Antonietta Gabriele and brother in law, Angelo Gabriele, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Renato was born in Bagnoli del Trigno, Isernia Italy on April 24, 1948. He immigrated to Canada in 1969 where he worked as a labourer with Crestwood Cabinets, while taking night school courses in Accounting, which became his new profession proudly working as a charted accountant.

Renato was a devoted husband, father and new grandfather. He enjoyed gardening and woodwork, cooking and a good glass of wine, which he made every year. He was very involved with the Famiglia Bagnolese Society as a Board Director. In his retirement years, Renato volunteered at the Confederation Seniors Centre.

Visitation will be on Tuesday October 2, 2018 from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm at Bell Funeral Chapel 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby BC.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church,1450 Delta Avenue, Burnaby, BC on Wednesday October 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment at Ocean View Cemetery, South Mausoleum. Donations can be made in his honor to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
