Ricky was in my Grade 6 class at Douglas Road school in Burnaby.  It was my first year of teaching and in that motley group of interesting kids, Ricky stood out because of his sense of humour and his interest in sports.  At that time, Bart Starr was his hero and he never stopped talking about the NFL.  I have always wondered how Ricky's life played out.  Now I know that he succeeded, and he has left a lasting impression on many--but a life gone much too soon.

Ricky has been my friend & co-worker for over 20 years, he was always there to help me when I needed supplies and upon request he produced a bottle of dish soap from his secret stash. He liked to come across as stern but was such a sweetheart to work with. Rest in peace, miss you.

Rick was a memorable member of the Dominion/SuperPages/Yellow Pages family with his gruff sense of humour in front of his caring, thoughtful interior.  We traded hockey cards and he always gave me the best of the deal.  He was a Miami Dolphins fan and generally a total sports fan.  It will not be the same without him.  I feel a loss and everyone who knew him will feel a loss.  My condolences to his family.

Grew up just up the street from Rick. Always was a nice guy to me. I know he spent a lot of time watching or playing baseball up at Harwood Park in Burnaby. He really was one of the "good" guys. Sorry to hear you've left us. My condolences to the Ehresman clan. RIP Rick!

Rick was a warm and welcoming man, who had a smile for everyone he met.  I saw Rick almost daily for many, many years, I can't believe he is no longer with us! My heart goes out to all his family and friends.  We were lucky to have known him.

I was happy to have known Rick at Dominion Directory Co., Telus Pages, SuperPages and YPG. He loved his sports and was always happy with a ready smile for everybody.  Rest in peace my friend.

A familiar face in an ever changing place – a genuine & gentle soul – I feel fortunate to have shared some laughs with him over the years – a truly great guy who will be missed by many.

Rick was the heart and soul of our Icemen Hockey club. It's hard to imagine what it will be like without Rick running the lines and parading up and down the locker room. Rick was always "in" and was someone we could always count on. My sincere condolences to his family.

So sad to hear of Rick's sudden passing.  He will be greatly missed as both a friend and at his workplace (YPG) where he worked for many years.  My condolences to his family.
