It is with great sadness that the family of Rip Tazumi announces his passing on September 3rd at the age of 90.

Rip was predeceased by his beloved wife Kay, whom he was married for 26 years, and his partner, Hana for 24 years. Also predeceased by his dear sisters Kazuye and Kathy, and brothers Harry, Harold, Steve, Frank and Tom.

Rip will be lovingly remembered and missed by his his sons Tim, Les and daughter, Brenda, nieces, nephews and grandchildren, Kevin, Max, Alex and Spencer.

Rip was born in Port Hammond, British Columbia, the son of Asajiro Tazumi and Kogane Furukawa. During WWII, Rip and his family were interned in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba and then later moved to Winnipeg where he met Kay and raised his family.

Many thanks to the many caring souls (family, homecare, doctors, nurses and staff) who cared for our Dad over the years but special thanks to his very own team of angels of Pam, Nora, Sach, Dennis and Jean who brought him meals and cheer on a weekly basis. He looked forward to and enjoyed your visits.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or BC Cancer.

A, small private family gathering has been planned during this time of Covid but we appreciate your kind thoughts and prayers.
