Rita Marinelli

She passed peacefully surrounded by her children Rose, John (Lee), and Tony (Christine). She will be greatly missed by her sisters Teresa and Cristina, grandchildren Anthony (Daniela), Jordana (Antonio), Giovanni (Olivia), Jorja, Dante, and great granddaughter Adriana, brother- in- law Lorenzo (Maria), sister-in-law Pasqualina, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives in New York, Montreal, Toronto, Italy.

Rita is predeceased by her father Pasquale and mother Rosa Di Ioia. She was born in Vinchiaturo, Italy on May 23, 1938 and immigrated to Montreal in November 1964. She later moved to Vancouver in 1969 where she raised her family.

Rita will be lovingly remembered for her kindness and her unwavering love and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed, and never forgotten. Our family takes comfort knowing that she can now rest and is reunited with her loving husband, who she missed dearly.

May she rest in peace.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday December 11th, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Helen’s Parish 3860 Triumph St, Burnaby, BC.
