It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our father, grandfather ("Papa" to Caleb and Adam), cousin, and dear friend. Bob was born and raised in Vancouver; he attended Kits High, class of '53, where he met his true love and wife Carol Ann Chapman. They married in '57 and had three children; Gregory, Clayton (Alana), Leigh Ann (Peter). Bob was a teacher in Vancouver for 32 years. Although he leaves behind many who will miss him dearly, he now joins his beloved Carol who predeceased him in 2003. Bob loved a good book, a tasty dessert, and a fun game of poker. During his final days he would say "I've had a good life, don't be sad for me". Bob, you were truly one of a kind! In lieu of flowers, friends who so wish may make a donation to a charitable foundation of their choice. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Bob's life will be held on Saturday May 28, at West Burnaby United Church, 6050 Sussex Ave, Burnaby at 2 pm.
