I always enjoyed Roger's stories about when he first came to Canada and the adventures he had. His favourite place to travel to was Paris and I loved hearing about his trips. It was great to have him over for dinner as he really enjoyed food and trying the different recipes I made. A great compliment to the chef!
You will be missed.

I will always remember the time in elementary school when Uncle Yee came to get me from the nurse's office. I remember feeling relieved, comforted and thankful that he had come to the rescue! He wasn't a man of many words but he didn't need to be as his presence and kind smile was always warm and comforting.

Whenever I would go over to their house, Roger would always come out of his room with a big smile on his face and offer me apple juice or coffee or a snack or something. That's how I think I remember him the most. On special nights, if it was my birthday or something, he always wanted to cook a special meal. Steak and onions! just like they used to make it at the Normandy. It was always a sweet gesture and I appreciated it very much. 

One time he showed me the reel to reel tape machine that he had bought in the 50's so he could record music off the radio. He still had his collection of tapes! He was a true music fan his whole life. 

Sullivan and I will miss him very much and would like to send our deepest condolences to everyone in Vancouver and especially his widow Mei. We're thinking of you all and will see you when we come back in July.
