

Mom was born in Gargamala, Spain and grew up in Portugal. She moved back to Spain where she married and had her children, before eventually immigrating to Canada. She took pride in working at St. Paul's hospital for over 30 years where she developed many close and lasting friendships
Family was at the center of Mom’s life, and she was happiest when everyone was together. She had a large heart and demonstrated generosity and kindness to everyone she met. Her welcoming nature ensured that all enjoyed spending time and eating with Rosa. She cultivated deep and meaningful relationships, and her family and friends have many treasured memories. She will be dearly missed.
She is predeceased by her beloved parents and brother José, Lucinda, and Leonel. She is survived by her spouse, Manuel. Her loving children Puri (Jim) and Manny (Marie Josée) are heart broken. Abuela is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Matthew (Patricia), Elena (Brandon), Michael, and Leo. She leaves behind her in-laws Carmen, Pedro, Anuncia, Dolores, and Isabel; and her dear niece Clara (Zaim, Rania, Latifah, Bilal), nephew Alex, and goddaughter Suzanne (Clint). As well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins in Spain and Portugal.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday June 12 at St. Helen’s Church, 3860 Triumph Street. Entombment to follow at the South Mausoleum at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial Street. A reception at Ocean View Funeral Home will be held immediately after.
Please have any and all flowers delivered to Ocean View Funeral Home for Wednesday, June 11th, 2025 by 3:00pm the latest.
