Rosario Guzman Acosta Bom

She was born on October 24, 1946, in Cabagan, Isabela, Philippines.

She was predeceased by her parents Pua Yong Heng and Crisanta Guzman Acosta.

Rosie is survived by her children: Rosalind Posterski (Scott) and Christopher Bom (Lana). Grandchildren: Liam and Isabella Posterski, Lauren and James Bom. Her siblings - Elisa Uy, Domingo Acosta, Vicente Acosta, Pajita Firth and Luis Acosta.

Rosie had a rare and incurable blood Cancer. Unfortunately, the medication that kept the cancer at bay worsened her already weakened kidneys. A year ago the difficult decision was made to stop the cancer medication. Rosie kept fighting but in the end, kidney failure was inevitable.

She worked as a Dietary Aide, and retired from both Fraserview Retirement Community and Richmond General Hospital in Richmond, BC.

She was known for her "fire-cracker" personality and her innate ability to put family and friends first. Rosie will be forever missed.

Visitation/Viewing will be Monday October 20, 2025 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at St. Paul Parish located at 8251 St Albans Rd., Richmond, BC V6Y 2H6.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday October 21, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Paul Parish located at 8251 St Albans Rd., Richmond, BC V6Y 2H6.

Inurnment will be Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 10:30am at Ocean View Burial Park located at 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC V5J 1A4.
