It's been a year since we lost you and i still feel sad whenever I see your photo  or remember a memory of you.I miss you so much. I'm keeping in touch with Nanay Eting often. Happy Mother's Day Mom... I really miss you. Actually I really miss both you and Dad. We all do. It is a bit hard at times to think that you and Dad are no longer with us. Every now and then I'd  find myself pause when I'm at home and think of you or Dad. Memories of seeing you in the kitchen cooking, on the couch watching TV or sewing something for Dad. And memories of Dad watching a movie when I come into the door or just be in time to catch him before he leaves and goes for his daily exercise walk at the mall. These are the memories of the both of you that I wish I would still see when come by to visit. And then I snap out of it and come back to reality...
You both may no longer be with us physically but spiritually you are still around to watch over and guide us.
Each and every person  believes that they have the best mother in the world and that being said by all of us is true for everyone that says it.
Thank you for being the best Mother to all of us your children... We love and miss you very much and we will always cherish all the memories that you have instilled in our hearts forever.

Dearest Mommy.
 It's our first mother's day without you and it's hard because I miss you so much everyday. Everywhere I go seems to remind me of you. We were at Timmy's yesterday and I saw your favorite doughnut Boston  Cream. Today is one of the saddest days because I wish you were still here with us. I would give anything in the world to spend one more day with you. I'm happy that we still have Nanay Eting with us I will take care of her just as I took care of you. I love you so very much and words are not enough to express how I feel. I promise to be close to my siblings and my extended family and help them in any way I can.

Dearest Mommy Sit,
That morning when i woke up and heard tita marie crying. Then i knew that you're gone. I didn't expect that it would be that quick, the night before we we're still talking to you over the phone. It hurts me to convince myself that i won't be able to see you again. I would always miss your smile, stories, your words of wisdom and encourgement.  I will miss waiting for you, daddy soph and ninang janet at the airport. Those little things i will never ever forget. I promise you lola that i will do great in my studies and that i will have a bright future. Thank you for all the memories we shared. Cuevas family had lost a wonderful mom, auntie, grandmother and friend but heaven has gained another angel. May you continue to guide us throughout our journey in this world, be with us all the way. I am having a hard time writing this because it still hurts my heart very deeply. It's hard to say goodbye to you. I still hope to see you, hug you and kiss you one more time. I have a hard time accepting that you have gone to heaven now. I love you so very very much and I miss you everyday. You have always been the best grandma to all of us. You showed us all tremendous kindness, endless love and tender care. I will keep your advice and memories very close to my heart. I will never forget your words of wisdom that you shared with me through the years. Thank you so very very much for being there for all of us we will never forget you.  Thank you for the time you have shared with me. I consider myself lucky that from the beginning,you have accepted me as i am, full of hope in my desire to be a part of your family. You did a big role as a mother to me considering for a long time i never had one who loves me very much. For this, i am very thankful. 
 So many times it comes to my mind that we could have spent more time together and talk things that you enjoy; your travels and your cooking recipes.But it was simply all in the mind for distance in place have made it impossible.

I'm having a hard time writing this, because I never know what to say. It's hard to believe you are gone. It will be tough to come over, and not see you smile, laugh, and insisting that I should take some food home with me.

I will always be grateful that you were a part of my life growing up. You always made sure that we are fed, cared for, happy, and loved.

We are very lucky. You did so much for us. You gave us support, and understanding during the rough times. Tough love when I deserve it, and forgiveness when I was being a brat. Even silly little things like asking you to hem my pants, you did it with love.

I will miss Christmas's, birthdays, and family dinners with you.  But most of all, I will miss you. You are in my thoughts everyday.
I know I don't say it often enough, but I hope you know that I love you.

I miss you already. I wish you're still around. As the days and weeks slowly pass by,I begin to realize that you're gone. I still expect to see you on your favorite chair in the kitchen watching television. Every time I come home as I enter the door to the house.

Having been together for more than fifty seven years, how can I say goodbye to you the love of my life,my very best friend,my partner and my lover.Thank you for the love you have given me and for all the memorable years we have spent together. Beloved Mommy Sit, every year I anticipated you would come home for a visit, recounting the times I spent with you in total every time you visit us, it does not even amount to 2 years. It is hard to let go of someone like you, so forgiving and caring with patience and a loving personality that cannot be beaten. How I wish you could still be with me to celebrate various milestones in my life. I still feel your presence wherever I go and your voice I hear every night in my dreams, It breaks my heart to learn the pain you went through and my only regret is that I had not said "I love you" the last time we spoke miles apart.
