Sandor Nagy, born October 11, 1936, peacefully passed away March 30, 2026 at the age of 89 in Pitt Meadows, BC. Sandor was born in Narai, Hungary, and immigrated with friends to Canada in 1957 in search of a better life. His early years in Canada were spent working in the Yukon mines and later at Richmond Plywood where he retired after 36 years of service.
Sandor met his beloved wife Anna in 1962 and they were married for 62 years. Sandor is survived by his wife Anna, children Suzanna, Katherine (Rob), Steven (Teri), grandchildren Ryan, Logan, siblings Ferenc and Lajos, and predeceased by his siblings, Erzsebet and Imre.
Sandor was active in the local Hungarian community and a founding member of Our Lady of Hungary Church in Vancouver. He enjoyed camping, gardening, playing the accordion, and singing. Later in retirement, he also enjoyed long walks and spending time with his grandchildren. He was known for his love of family and hard work ethic. He will be dearly missed by all the people whose lives he touched. At his request, there will be no funeral service.
