Sau Mei Ng Ip

Sau Mei passed away peacefully at home in Hong Kong on March 2nd, 2024. Born in Hong Kong on July 4th, 1927, she was the 6th of 11 siblings in the Ng/Woo family. Sau Mei was dedicated and devoted to her family and friends. As the family matriarch, she took the responsibility with great pride. Sau Mei was an exemplary role model; well respected, sincere, and beloved. Nothing gave her more joy than to spend time with family, tell stories of the past, and comfort others. Sau Mei was selfless, kind, and generous. We are filled with gratitude for her amazing 96 years as the anchor of the family and her unconditional love. Sau Mei was predeceased by her husband Chung Pui Ip. She is survived by her daughter Teresa Ip Yu (David), son Stan Ip (Judy), goddaughter Amy Lee Chew (James), grandchildren Adrian Yu, Amanda Yu (William), Colin Ip (JoAnne), Nathan Ip (Teresa), and siblings, Port Woo (Grace), Starboard Woo (late Brenda), Nancy Ng, Doris Ng Chan (late Edward) and many nieces and nephews. Sau Mei will be deeply missed. A private graveside service will take place on Saturday, April 13th at 10am, Ocean View Funeral Home & Burial Park (Clearview Section), 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby.
