

He has now joined his beloved wife Maria.
He will missed by son Paolo and his daughter-in-law Zora and granddaughter Lisa and her partner Aaron.
Prayers will be held at 1PM Tuesday July 19th at BELL and BURNABY at 4276 Hastings Street in Burnaby. This will be followed by entombment at OCEAN VIEW BURIAL PARK, the South Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Kidney Association or the BC Lung Association.
Serafino, was born September 6, 1925 in Bagnarola, in the province of Pordenone, Italy. He served as an Alpino in the Italian Alpine armed forces . He was married to his beloved Maria in March 1952. He came to Canada in April 1952 under contract to the CPR. He eventually worked as miner in Kimberly and Michel BC. He moved to Vancouver in 1955. He worked as laborer in a sawmill and eventually as an employee in a concrete/cement finishing plant. In 1964 he gained a position at Rayoneer Marpole sawmill where he worked until he retired in 1990. In his retirement he and Maria travel to Italy, France, Mexico and the USA. He loved his garden. He spent many a happy hour in the garage with his many creative projects. He also would, with great pride, make and bottle his home crafted wine. He would always enjoy making barbecue. He enjoyed good food and being in the great outdoors. He lived a very long and satisfying life. In the last years of his life he missed his wife Maria very much. Together again, they are now at peace. We will miss them dearly.
