1944 – 2011
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Mae Leonhart. Born July 7th, 1944 in Vancouver, British Columbia – passed away on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011 at the Laurel Place Hospice in Surrey, British Columbia, after a short but brave battle with brain cancer. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles Leonhart and will be sadly missed, but always remembered by her daughter, Stacey (Paul); her son, Richard (Linda); her 6 grandchildren, Chelsea, Ashley, Madison, Austin, Angellika-Lin and Nickolas whom she was so proud of and much adored and whose time with Grandma-Grammie was cut so short. She will be missed by her family, relatives and friends. A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be held in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC on Sunday, August 14th, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Sharon’s memory may be made to the Laurel Place Hospice, Palliative Care so her memory will live on in a gift for someone in need.
