The contribution that Dr. Wong made to education and particularly Business Education cannot be measured. She was a mentor to me (and many, many others) in so many ways.  She was truly a leader among leaders.  I shall miss her very much.

Business Education lost a true advocate with Shirley Wong's death.  Uncompromising in her quest for excellence, she will be truly missed.

Shirly had a huge impact on anyone who was fortunate enough to set foot in her class.  When you completed her class, you were ready for work.  She set the standard for Business Education and we are all the better for it.  She was a force to be reckoned with, and perfection was expected.  She will be missed.

Shirley had a remarkable impact on the Business Education teachers in this province.  She taught methods & curriculum courses to many outstanding business educators who went on to become Sheila Cameron Award recipients and also leaders in business education. She also gave strong direction & leadership to the BCBEA for many years.  Her influence was strong and wide in BC.  It was nice to see her once again at the Vancouver Business Education teachers annual BarBQ at the end of June.  Thanks, Shirley, for your leadership in Business Education.

Shirley had a huge influence on many of us Business teachers.  She set a standard for all of budding teachers to reach for which has left a lasting impression on us and teaching in this province.  I wish I had said thank you to her more often but I'm sure she knew this from everyone.  We are saddened and will miss her.

(This is my second entry because I don't see my first entry on Sept.6.)

Doc Shirley was one class act.  As an educator she delivered, above and beyond.  In her role as practicum advisor she arranged a trial practicum for this writer when he wasn't sure if teaching was for him.  Her advice and encouragement contributed to this individual's eventual multi-decade career in business education.

Shirley, you set high standards for your students and you certainly led by example.  Thanks for making a positive difference.  You will not be forgotten!!

Dr. Wong until you became a teacher, then Shirley thereafter, will leave a legacy in Business Education in BC; and be missed; may she rest in peace.
