Mr. Spencer Lai Choi Lau

Spencer (Lai Choi) Lau, 70, of Richmond, BC, passed away on January 23, 2024. He was a devoted and loving husband, beloved father, doting grandfather, loyal brother and trustworthy friend. His kindred spirit and sense of humor forged enduring friendships and left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Throughout his life, Spencer’s passion for travel took him to the far reaches of the world together with Amy, with trips to Japan among his most treasured experiences, a land that delighted his senses with its culinary artistry and warming Sake. At home, it was Amy's cooking that became his anchor, and he relished her home-cooked meals above all else. Spencer’s leisure time was often filled with invigorating games of tennis, which brought him great enjoyment and relaxation.

Spencer leaves behind a loving family, with his memory carried on by his wife Amy, his children Winkie (Kevin) and Ian, his grandchildren Lucas and Hazel, and his sisters Dora and Rowena.

We invite family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Spencer to join in the Visitation on Friday, February 23rd from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, and to participate in the Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 24th at 10 am. Both services will be held at Forest Lawn Chapel, 3789 Royal Oak, Burnaby, BC."
